The Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan emphasized the importance of the work of the Rosselkhoznadzor and Veterinary Administration
On October 24, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan held a public hearing on the results of the law enforcement practice of the Departments for the third quarter of this year. The event was attended by the First Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Nail Zalakov.
The First Deputy Minister emphasized the importance of the control and oversight bodies for improving the activities of agricultural producers and focused on the joint work of all organizations to ensure food and biological safety of the republic. “The well-being of the population of our republic depends precisely on the effective work of these services, on their constant monitoring,” Nail Zalakov mentioned.
Speaking about the tasks, Nail Zalakov designated as the main ones: state veterinary and phytosanitary supervision, supervision in seed production and land supervision.
“This year Tatarstan exported about 150 thousand tons of grain products, more than 157 thousand tons of livestock products. It is necessary to carry out the measures to prevent the export of consignments of grain and livestock products that do not meet the quarantine phytosanitary and veterinary requirements, as well as the requirements for the quality and safety of grain and food products of importing countries, ”said the First Deputy Minister.
Nail Zalakov also noted that the 2020 harvest depends on the quality and storage conditions of the seed. Work in this direction should be carried out very responsibly.
The difficult epizootic situation of African swine fever in the Russian Federation in 2019 did not go unnoticed. “To date, ASF outbreaks have been recorded in 13 regions of Russia, both among domestic and wild boars, in total - 108 cases: 75 cases among domestic pigs, and 33 cases among wild boars. Today, the republic is prosperous in terms of ASF, but we should not relax, especially since this disease has been registered in neighboring regions, ”warned Nail Zalakov.
In addition, the First Deputy Minister mentioned that the issue of unused agricultural land and their involvement in agricultural circulation is especially acute for the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, as well as for the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan. In this work, an individual approach to each district is necessary depending on the priority tasks facing it.
