A zonal workshop on winter barley cultivation technology was held in the Spassky district of Tatarstan
On July 12, at the Avangard JSC of Spassky district, a zonal seminar-meeting on the cultivation technology of winter barley was held in the Republic of Tatarstan. The meeting was attended by the Head of the Spassky Municipal District Kamil Nugayev, the head of the Tatar NIISH Marsel Tagirov, the breeder of the FIZ KAZ NC RAS Vasily Blokhin, the Deputy Head of the Department of Agriculture Industry Development of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Fargat Zinnatov and heads of KFH from 15 regions of the country.
This event was organized and conducted by NPK Selektsiya, NIISH specialists: Nikolai Tupitsyn, Vladimir Tupitsyn, and Avangard JSC investor Vladimir Shvetsov. They discussed the technology of cultivation of winter barley in weather and climatic conditions of the Republic, issues of agrotechnical background, planting dates, seeding rate, etc. Nikolay Tupitsyn acquainted the participants with the peculiarities of this variety and noted its feed value for animal husbandry.
Winter barley of this variety is cultivated in Avangard JSC on an area of about 200 hectares and for several years it shows good results. In 2019, on an area of 169 hectares, the biological yield is more than 45 centners per hectare.
After the meeting, due to the high fodder value and successful cultivation experience, it was decided to increase the area of winter barley in Spassky district.
