Today, the Deputy Prime Minister of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic Marat Akhmetov visited the Bavly District of Tatarstan to familiarize himself with the course of the spring field work.
Accompanied by the district head Ramil Gatiyatullin and the head of the agriculture and food department of the district Farit Kiyamov, Marat Akhmetov inspected the fields. After that, right in the field, he met with heads of farms, farmers and heads of rural settlements.
The meeting began with listening to the brief information of the Head of the region on the progress of the field work. He noted that winter crops were sown on an area of 8.1 thousand hectares, the death of winter crops was 45%. But the reseeding is done. The area of spring amounted to 36.2 thousand hectares, incl. spring grain - more than 21.1 thousand hectares: barley - 6.5 thousand hectares, wheat - 9.3 thousand hectares, oats - 2.3 thousand hectares. Sunflower planting was also completed on an area of 1.3 thousand hectares. At present, spring crops are being fed, protected from pests and weeds. Since May 29, the forage harvesting operations have begun.
On behalf of the agricultural producers, the Head of the district expressed his gratitude to the leadership of the republic for the material assistance, in particular for the allocation of a targeted subsidy for the purchase of mineral fertilizers.
During the meeting, Marat Akhmetov discussed issues of concern with farmers. The head of the production and marketing department of the Department of Agriculture and Food, Nail Galiullin, named a problem all agrarians are worried about: the Bavlinsky district, due to the climatic conditions, gets the best yield in the fields with varieties distributed in Bashkortostan. To get a seed subsidy, agricultural producers must use only varieties of the Bavlinsky zone. The minister said that it should be considered at the federal level.
Farmer Gennady Minnullin appealed to Marat Akhmetov with a request to assist in solving the issue of arranging transitions for farm animals and equipment through the federal highway. He noted that this year a reconstruction will be carried out on the Kazan-Orenburg federal highway, but the work program does not include the arrangement of such crossings and the installation of road signs indicating the moving of farm animals. The minister took the matter under control.
Marat Akhmetov also discussed with residents the issues relating to the construction of family farms, the possibility of obtaining fuel and lubricants at a reduced price for harvesting, etc. In addition, the Minister recommended strengthening the work on updating the machine and tractor park by participating in federal and republican technical modernization programs and turning focus on dairy farming. The head of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan noted that it was necessary to tackle the issues of raising young stock, balanced feeding and improving genetics.
Marat Akhmetov gave a positive assessment of the work of Bavly farmers in the spring field work. “They did a good job at the planting season, and have every right to widely celebrate the upcoming Sabantuy,” the minister said.
