Marat Akhmetov estimated the pace of sowing in the Chistopolsky, Novosheshminsky and Cheremshansky districts of Tatarstan

Today, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of Tatarstan Marat Akhmetov visited Chistopolsky, Novosheshminsky and Cheremshansky districts of the republic to familiarize himself with the course of spring field work.

After inspecting the fields, Marat Akhmetov met with the head of each of the districts, heads of farms, farmers and heads of rural settlements, spoke about the implementation of state programs to support agricultural producers and answered questions from managers and specialists of agricultural organizations.

The heads of the districts briefed on the progress of the field work. So, in the Chistopolsky district, winter crops were sown on an area of 16.5 thousand hectares, the death of winter crops was 48% of the sowing, in the Novosheshminsky district, 9.6% of 17.7 thousand hectares and 52% of 14.5 thousand hectares in Cheremshansky area. It is being reseeded by spring crops.

Total spring sowing in the districts is completed on more than half of the planned areas. Barley, oats, wheat, and rapeseed were sown in Chistopolky district on an area of 37.7 thousand hectares, in Novosheshminsky - on 23.1 thousand hectares and on 23.7 thousand hectares in Cheremshansky district. Corn, sunflower and other late crops started to be sown.

Marat Akhmetov drew attention to the need to complete the sowing of spring crops in the shortest possible time, ensuring 2-shift loading of the sowing units during the field work to fully utilize the potential of equipment. Also, in order to increase technical potential and energy supply, the Minister recommended strengthening the renewal of machine and tractor parks in the districts.
