29 April 2019, Monday

The singing of larks in the fields merges with the roar of tractors, and the farmers working from early morning until late at night are overwhelmed with a special sense of responsibility and pride. After all, today was laid a solid foundation of the crop.

Today, in the agricultural firm "Yuzhnaya" of the Nurlatsky district, sunflower sowing is in full swing. Mechanizers Farit Akhmetov and Fanis Tukhvatullin started it from the field near the village of Bogdashkino.

Even before the work began, the agronomists of the farm helped the farmers to adjust the aisles and check the frequency of sowing. The machine operators are experienced, they are well aware that everything must meet technological requirements. Prior to that, they were engaged in preparing the soil for sunflower.

“The fields are ripened, the work is going smoothly, there should be no problems in sowing,” says Farit Akhmetov. He had lived in Moscow for many years, laid the roads underground - built the subway, and for three years he has been growing bread in the fields of the Nurlatsky district of Tatarstan. Although today he is already on a well-deserved rest, but every year he comes to work in the spring and autumn, because experience on the part of technology and hard work are in demand everywhere.

“From the first days the work was organized in two shifts, there are no interruptions with fertilizers, fuel and lubricants. All the equipment is in work, everyone who is involved in the process, works with a great sense of responsibility”, Islam Safiullin, director general of the Yuzhnaya agricultural firm, tells about the progress of work on the farm.

Sunflower is a highly profitable crop, this year it will be planted on 700 hectares of the farm. According to the chief agronomist Ayrat Akhmetzyanov, now they have chosen the drought-resistant sunflower variety “Pioneer”, and today all the conditions are optimal for its sowing.
