The Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan continues a series of publications devoted to the agriculture of the Republic of Tatarstan during the Great Patriotic War. The enterprises of Tatarstan during the war were of particular importance in the food supply of the army and the population.

Tatarstan during the war years acquired a particularly important role in the food supply of the army and the population. Moreover, women became the leading force in the agricultural sector of Tatarstan during the war. In the collective farms of Tatarstan, they produced up to 70-75% of the total number of workdays, they also made up 75% of the permanent workers of state farms.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan has great respect for the veterans of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 and those who worked in the rear during these years, providing food supply to the country.

Both the participants of the Great Patriotic War, and the home front workers-they all did a lot for our people. They gave us the opportunity to live in a peaceful state. If not them, we probably wouldn't be here.

This was announced by the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan during the zonal seminar-meeting "High – quality feed and a strong feed base are the key to high productivity of animals", which was held in the Alekseevsky district.
