This was announced by the Minister of Agriculture Dmitry Patrushev at the meeting on the issue of increasing agricultural production and developing the export potential of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, which was held today in Kazan. The event was attended by Deputy Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Volga Federal District Alexey Kuzmitsky, President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, heads of regions of the Volga Federal District, heads of regional AIC and key companies of the industry.

Еру 21st of February First Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Russia Dzhambulat Khatuov held a meeting in Kazan with the heads of regional AIC, heads of regional agro-chemical services, state commissions and subordinated agencies on land reclamation. Participants of the event discussed the main directions of development of animal husbandry, crop production and amelioration of agricultural land in the regions of the Volga Federal District.

In Tatarstan, the first stage of the intellectual game “Novice Farmer” among pupils of schools and institutions of higher and vocational education of the Republic of Tatarstan was completed. It was organized by the Tatarstan Regional Branch of the Russian Union of Rural Youth with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan and Kazan State Agrarian University. This event is organised for Development of skills in business planning in agriculture, collecting and analyzing information, making management decisions and teamworking.

This was stated by the Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan Farid Mukhametshin during a working visit to Almetyevsk district on February 19, where he participated in the meeting of the Council of the municipality on the results of work for 2018 and tasks for 2019.

On February 16, by the theme “Know your native land”, the specialists of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Tatarstan visited the Museum of the Siberian Tract’s History, the wicker factory “Willow Furniture”  and the ski base.

Today, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Akhmetov took part in the reporting session of the Kukmorsky District on the basis of socio-economic development for 2018.

On February 16, the grand opening of first rapeseed processing plant with the participation of the head of the Kaibitsky district, Albert Rakhmatullin, took place in Bolshoye Podberezye village.

Today, the hero of our “People of Labor” rubric is Zaripova Tausiha Garayevna, who has found her vocation in the sheep farming industry. Tausiha Garayevna was born in 1930 in the village of Murtaza, Bavly District. Her father worked as an agronomist at the Kirov collective farm, and her mother worked as an ordinary collective farmer. Tausiha's childhood overlapped with the Great Patriotic War, and as a girl, along with all her rural peers, helped adults, mostly women, as much as she could, to do hard peasant work in the fields and farms.
