“Green Economy. Go green initiative in crop horticulture” conference took place within the framework of “All-Russia Day of Field – 2017” exhibition on trial fields of the FSBSI “Tatar Science and Research Institute for Agriculture” in Laishevo municipal district of the Republic of Tatarstan today. Directors of regional AIC administrative bodies, branches of the FSBI “Rosselkhozcenter” (“Russian agricultural center”) and “Gossortokomissia” (“State crop variety committee”), agro-chemical services, representative of branch alliances and associations, as well as agricultural organizations took part in the conference.
Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Evgeniy Gromyko gave an opening speech at the conference. “Crop husbandry is a base of agriculture, - he noted. – Organization of All-Russia Day of Field in Tatarstan is very important, in its turn, because arable farming here is breaking new ground, namely organic production”.
Director at the Department of Crop Husbandry, Mechanization, Chemicalization and Crop Protection in the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Petr Chekmarev gave a key-note report at the conference.
He emphasized that within the latest 7 years there is a positive dynamics in AIC production by both agricultural organizations and farmers in Russia. According to his words, last year Russia exported 35.5 million tons of grain into 100 countries all over the world.
Director of the department reminded that the current year was devoted to ecology in Russia.
“Ecologization and biologization should expand all over the country. The term “green economy” is of many aspects. First and foremost it means eco-production, reduced anthropogenic impact on soil and other natural environments”, - noted Pert Chekmarev in conclusion of his speech.
Deputy Arable Farming Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Ildus Gabdrakhmanov perorted on biologization of crop husbandry in Tatarstan. He informed that agricultural fields of the republic make up 4.5 million ha, where 3.4 million ha are tilled fields.
Thus, black soil occupies 37% of the total agricultural area, gray forest soil – 35%, soddy-podzolic soil – 6%, brown-gray soil – 6%, humus-carbonate soil – 3%. “Natural potential of Tatarstan tilled fields is about 15 dt/ha”, - noted Ildus Gabdrakhmanov.
Nevertheless, Tatarstan shows positive dynamics in agricultural production, including crop husbandry production. “We have created “The system of arable farming in the Republic of Tatarstan”, which takes due account of the branch and recommends adaptive technologies of cultivation of agricultural crops taking into consideration financial state of agricultural organizations”, - informed Deputy Minister. – We introduce moist-preserving technologies, develop the ameliorative branch, manage chalking of acidic soil, create windbreaks and green-manured”.
