Meeting with the delegation from the Islamic Republic of Pakistan took place in the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan

Today First Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Nikolai Titov met the delegation from the Islamic Republic of Pakistan headed by Sheik Mukhammad Munir, the state minister of Pakistan, executive director at the Trade development directorate in Pakistan Trade Ministry (TDAP). The meeting took place in the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The following Tatarstan and Pakistan officials also took part in the meeting: deputy ministers of agriculture and food of the Republic of Tatarstan Nazip Khazipov, Talgat Tagirzyanov, Marat Zyabbarov, Rishat Khabipov, specialists of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan, deputy chief of Pakistan mission in the Russian Federation Ata-ul-Munim Shakhid, director deputy at the Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce Faruk Afzal, specialist from the Trade development directorate in Pakistan Trade Ministry Mukhmmad Irfan, directors of companies.

First Deputy Minister Nikolai Titov gave the opening speech. “The republic of Tatarstan has become well known in the world recently owing to international events which took place here”, he noted.

Sheik Mukhammad Munir thanked for hospitality and told that the delegation had been to Ufa – the capital city of the Republic of Bashkortostan.

“Pakistan has great opportunities, - he emphasized. – we got interested in the equipment, namely agricultural machinery, produced in Russia and Tatarstan”.

Shaik Mukhammad Munir spoke on the fabric manufacturing, production of surgery equipment, sport goods and fruit in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. According to his words, it is necessary to create a joint working party on the development of business cooperation between the Republic of Tatarstan and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan with the aim of effective coordination.

Nikolai Titov informed the delegates about the state of Tatarstan AIC.

«Республика Татарстан занимает достойное место среди регионов Российской Федерации. По итогам 2015 года среди российских регионов республика занимает первое место по производству товарного молока, 2-е место - по сбору картофеля, 4-е место - по производству мяса скота и птицы», - сказал Николай Титов.

The meeting has its aim to facilitate agricultural development of the republic, to build business cooperation in the AIC sphere with foreign partners.

Today the delegates took part in the business forum called “Tatarstan – Pakistan” in the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Tatarstan, met Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Ildar Khalikov, the administration of the Investment development agency of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan.
