Agrarian youth association presented "Agroclass" project within the framework of the Volga region agro-industrial forum

Yesterday in the exhibition center "Kazan fair", the Agrarian youth association of the Republic of Tatarstan took part in an exhibition within the framework of the Volga region agro-industrial forum and presented a career guidance project called "Agroclass". The project is aimed at promotion of agricultural professions among pre-school children and primary school children.

"Agroclass" project is training-games without any theoretical studies, the games are held by professional psychologists. Children get the opportunity to experience the world of AIC. Within 30 minutes they can become agronomists, mechanizers, combine drivers, milkers and other specialists from agricultural sphere. Thus, children will have the idea of agricultural professions, will understand the importance of those working in AIC. Within the framework of the project special handouts were prepared: pens, notebooks, magnets, puzzles with the information about agricultural professions, their work and role on them. Everybody who took part in training games got the handouts for free.

According to the words of the specialists from the Agrarian youth organization of the Republic of Tatarstan, models made within the framework of "Agroclass" project drew the attention of almost every participant and guest of the exhibition. They got interested in the project owing to models of farms, village houses, fields, etc.

In the future it is planned to improve the project in order to lead more effective career guidance work: to make a model of a cow, which could move its head, wag its tail, but the most important thing is that children would have the opportunity to milk it with the help of a milking machine.

"Such games will help children to learn more about agriculture and will promote the interest to agricultural professions", said Milyausha Zagidullina, chairwoman of the Agrarian youth association of the Republic of Tatarstan.
