AIC production fair season started in Tatarstan

Today the 1st this year agricultural fairs took place at 9 Kazan marketplaces and on the territory of technopolis “Novaya Tura” in the village of Octyabrskiy of Zelenodolsk municipal district of the Republic of Tatarstan.

In the 1st part of the day the fairs were inspected by deputy ministers of agriculture and food of the Republic of Tatarstan.

“Today, on January 16, fairs were opened. We are going to organize such fairs until May. 9 marketplaces are used for them in Kazan, a new marketplace has appeared in Privolzhskiy district, near cultural center “Chulpan”. Since the Chekhovskiy market will be reconstructed, the market place in Vakhitovskiy district was moved by 200 meters to the intersection of Dostoyevskiy and Volkov Streets. Today at the marketplace in Novo-Savinovskiy district there are 36 participants in the fair. The weather has made its impact on the fair – some agricultural producers trading in vegetables were not able to come. Nevertheless, there were 7 tons of beef, 3 tons of pork. About 200 kg of lamb, 1.5 tons of milk, about 17 tons of vegetables and some other products at this marketplace. Participants came from Novosheshminsk, Spasskoye, Kaibitsy, Verkhniy Uslon and some other districts of the Republic of Tatarstan”, reported Renat Suleimanov, director deputy at the food market department of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Following the results of 17 autumn fairs in 2015 products were sold to the amount of over 800 million rubles, over 12 thousand tons of vegetables, about 3,000 tons of meat and over 1,000 tons of milk were brought to the fairs.

“There biggest demand is for meat, beef, pork, poultry, as well as eggs and milk. Agricultural fairs are a socially oriented project, that is why fair prices are traditionally by 20-30% lower than in a retail outlet”, emphasized Renat Suleimanov.

Kazaners and guests of the city could buy different products today: vegetables, meat, butter, milk, grains, flour, sugar, eggs, grits and some other products. Large AIC enterprises also presented their products, eg. “TH “Maiskiy”, “Holding company “Ak Bars”, enterprises of Tatpotrebsoyuz, “Tatplodovostchprom”, “Agrofirm “Zalesny”, “Salman”, “Khuzangaevskiy”, “Chelny-Broiler”, “Archa”, “Avanragd”, etc.
