Implementation of programs on amelioration in “Agro-firm “Vyatskie Zori”, Elabuga municipal district of Tatarstan
The federal and republic programs on the development of amelioration are active for several years already in Tatarstan. According to the programs, subsidies are given to the most costs on amelioration. One of the most active participants to implement the programs is the meterprise “Agrofirm “Vyatskie Zori”.
During last 3 years this enterprise started using over 800 ha of new arable lands in order to grow potato, cabbage, beetroot, carrot. This year the enterprise is planning to increase the amount of harvested vegetables and to reap over 22,000 tons of vegetables, while next year the enterprise is planning to increase arable lands to 860 ha, and the gross vegetable yield will be increased to 35,000 tons correspondingly. The enterprise is also going to make 3 ponds which will be the sources for amelioration. According to the words of Mars Khismatullin - the chief of the FSBI “Tatmeliovodkhoz directorate”, which is under the jurisdiction of the Amelioration Department of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, - the investments to this project amount to 120 million rubles.
It is planned to provide new arable lands with sprinkling machines produced in Tatarstan. To implement this task the construction of an irrigation engineering plant has begun in Vysokaya Gora municipal district, the republic of Tatarstan. Within 2 years 2 potato storages (the capacity of 8,500 tons) have been built, refrigerators for storing of carrots (the capacity of 2,000 tons) and cabbages (the capacity of 2,200 tons) have been put, as well as a production shop of summer distribution of vegetables have been opened. For 2016-2017 it is planned to start using one more refrigerator for carrots (4,000 tons) and cabbages (2,500 tons), as well as one more potato storage (4,000 tons).
