Volga Region Agro-Industrial Forum Started Its Work

The opening ceremony of the Volga Region Agro-Industrial Forum took place in pavilion 1 of “Kazan Fair” exhibition center at 8-30 o’clock today, on February 18.

The forum was opened by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan – the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Akhmetov, the Chairman of the Tatarstan State Council Committee on Ecology, Environmental Management, Agro-Industrial and Foodstuff Policy Takhir Khadeev, the Directorate Chief of AIC, Land Relations and Consumer Market of the Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers Airat Mustafin, Deputy Chairman of Tatarstan Chamber of Commerce and Industry Vladimir Zhuikov, Director General of “Kazan Fair” exhibition center Дум Semenov.

In his opening speech Marat Akhmetov emphasized that a great number of participants proved the interest and trust to the Republic of Tatarstan. According to his words, Tatarstan AIC has a great potential for good year. All those working in agricultural sphere have to use the resources of the republic in full. At the end of the speech Marat Akhmetov noted that agriculture was getting more and more important for the country which meant the opportunity to enter the global market.

This year there were 162 AIC enterprises from 42 regions of the Russian Federation and 7 countries at the forum.

It should be mentioned that the Volga Region Agro-Industrial Forum includes the 18th international specialized exhibition “Agro-Complex: Interagro. Animed. Volga Region Farmer” and the 15th specialized exhibition “Volgaprodexpo”.

The Volga Region Agro-Industrial Forum provides a great opportunity for AIC specialists, directors of farm households, farmers, veterinarians, zoo specialists, representatives of big and medium size enterprises in agricultural business, directors of retail chains, representatives of foodstuff and processing industries to contact equipment producers in agricultural and foodstuff spheres.
