Marat Akhmetov reported on the results of work in Tatarstan cattle breeding for January 2015

The Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan – the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Akhmetov reported at a session in the Government House of the Republic of Tatarstan today that in the republic for January 2015 the cattle population made up 745,800, including 247,500 of cows.

The videoconference with all the municipal districts was held by the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov. The 1st Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Aleksey Pesoshin also participated in the session.

Marat Akhmetov reported on the results of work in cattle breeding of the Republic of Tatarstan for January 2015, concerning agricultural associations and farm households. In January 2015 30,100 tons (101% compared with the level of 2014) of cattle and poultry, 90,100 tons of milk (105.3%) and 75.5 million eggs were produced.

Except 745,800 heads of cattle there are also 435,600 pigs, 53,400 sheep and goats and 15,500 tons of poultry in the republic.

The minister of agriculture and food of the republi8c of Tatarstan also named the municipal districts with the increase or the decrease of cattle population for January.

In January 30,100 tons of cattle and poultry were produced, where 15,400 tons were for poultry, 7,800 tons were for cattle and 6,800 tons were for pigs.
