Round table discussion on import substitution was held for Tatar businessmen

On December 4-6 2014, an extended meeting of the Executive Board of the World Tatar Congress takes place in Kazan. 600 delegates from 54 regions of the Russian Federation will participate in it.

The meeting is chaired by the first deputy of the executive body of the World Tatar Congress Rinat Valiullin.

Today the delegates of the forum participated in the round table discussion “Tatar businessmen and their cooperation with the Republic of Tatarstan in the sphere of import substitution in the agricultural sector”, which took place in the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The chief of the department of economic analysis and planning of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Nizamutdinov took part in the discussion. In his speech he noted that owing to the system modernization and renovation of enterprises Tatarstan was able to stabilize and increase production capacities and to develop further as one of the leading agrarian regions of the country.

“Tatarstan AIC not only provides the population of the republic with the basic kinds of agricultural products but it is also a stable supplier of agricultural raw materials and processing products to other regions of the Russian Federation as well as abroad”, said Marat Nizamultdinov.

On December 6 2014, the plenary session “Business partners of Tatarstan” with the participation of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan will take place in the Tatar State Academic Theatre named after G. Kamal. Before the start of the plenary session, the delegates will have a look at the Tatarstan AIC agricultural products.
