Extended meeting of the Academic Board in FSBSI “Tatar Agricultural Scientific-Research Institute” devoted to the business trip to China was held

In FSBSI “Tatar Agricultural Scientific-Research Institute” an extended meeting of the Academic Board took place.

The visit of the scientific delegation headed by the director of the institute Marsel Tagirov to China as well as the prospects of cooperation with this country in the sphere of selection were discussed.

The trip had been organized by China at the invitation of the Jilin Department of Science and Engineering and the President of Agricultural Academy Mr Jen, who is also a member of the Russian Academy of Science.

In his speech the director of the Tatar Agricultural Scientific-Research Institute Marsel Tagirov paid attention to the most vital issues for our republic.

He emphasized that China was a leading country in terms of the rate of development owing to its high scientific level. The government finances in full both fundamental and applied scientific researches, to be a scientist and a manager at the same time is very prestigious.

Science and production are combined in different alliances according to vital issues. There are 50 alliances on crop science, 11 alliances on animal breeding and 5 alliances on fishery. The head of an alliance is responsible for everything, from selection to processing and distribution. Owing to such a system there is a high productivity.

Marsel Tagirov supposes that this experience would be useful to introduce into our republic. For example, in China thousands of different products are made of such traditional crops as rice, soya and corn, while in our country there are only 15-20 kinds of products made of rye and wheat.

According to the words of Marsel Tagirov, Chinese scientists cooperate with all foreign countries, study scientific and production experience and introduce it into their country. It guarantees high competitiveness of Chinese goods and services.

There are great opportunities for scientists to study abroad. Young scientists have a chance to study for months in the best research and development centers of the world. As a result, they get qualifications and new skills very quickly and work on the most modern level. Such experience should be introduced into the Republic of Tatarstan.

Summing up, Marsel Tagirov said that the trip was very efficient, the institute had already had the experience of work on international projects and it should be developed further. A protocol of intentions were signed. A draft project of scientific cooperation were prepared.
