105.7 million tons of grain have been thrashed in Russia

According to the recent data, grains and pulses have been thrashed on 91.8% of the total harvesting area in Russia. Potatoes have been harvested from 99% of the harvesting area, vegetables – from 97%.

In different farm households 105.7 million tons of grain have been milled, 8.1 million tons of sunflower, 28.6 million tons of sugar beet, 30.5 million tons of potato and 13.8 million tons of vegetables have been harvested.

In the current year grain has been milled by 16.1% more than last year, sunflower – by 1.5% less, sugar beet – by 2 % less, potato – by 2.8% more, vegetables – by 0.5% more.

As in previous years a bigger share of grain, sugar beet and sunflower has been grown by agricultural organizations while a bigger share of potatoes and vegetables – by private farm households.

Beside this, according to the data of the information agency “Tatar-Inform”, in farm households of the Crimea federal district 1.1 million tons of grain have been milled this year which is by 58.8% more than last year.
