19 February 2026, Thursday

Today, Niyaz Khuramshin, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan, took part in the opening of "Farmer's Islands" in the village of Vysokaya Gora in the Vysokogorsky District of the Republic of Tatarstan and the city of Kazan.

The new "Farmer's Islands" are the 100th and 101st retail outlets of the project in Russia. It is being implemented as part of the federal project "Small and Medium Entrepreneurship" of the national project "Efficient and Competitive Economy," with the support of the Small and Medium Entrepreneurship Corporation.

Ziryak Mingazov has become the operator of the "Farmer's Island" in the village of Vysoka Gora. The Mingazov family already manages retail spaces in Kazan, bringing together local agricultural and food producers in the republic.

"This is an excellent opportunity for agricultural producers to sell their products directly to city residents, without long chains of intermediaries. Residents of the republic support local small producers and receive high-quality food products," said Niyaz Khuramshin.

Murad Bulgakov, Deputy Head of the Vysokogorsky District Executive Committee, emphasized: "We are very proud that the 100th store is opening in our Vysokogorsky District. What you're doing is truly important work, something not everyone can accomplish and manage. Helping farmers sell their products is a tremendous amount of work. It's great that you're connecting this chain."

Anton Baklashov, an individual entrepreneur, has become the operator of the Kazan outlet. "Here you can find locally produced products from agricultural producers in the Republic of Tatarstan—high-quality, natural, traditional, and at affordable prices for everyone," he said.

Taliya Minullina, Head of the Investment Development Agency of the Republic of Tatarstan, noted: "This is currently an excellent example of cooperation, allowing farmers to reduce logistics costs. This is a very good initiative, which was supported during the Municipal Hour. We will now further expand this project, and we need more farmers to sell their products at specialized retail outlets, so that Tatarstan residents can buy products produced in our republic."

With the support of the Corporation for Small and Medium-Sized Entrepreneurship, 101 "Farmer's Islands" have been established in 38 regions of Russia, where over 1,250 producers, including approximately 100 from the Republic of Tatarstan, already supply their products.
