18 February 2026, Wednesday

Today, Marat Zyabbarov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan and Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan, visited the Novosheshminsky Municipal District of the Republic of Tatarstan on a working visit. He was accompanied by Yegor Tarnavsky, Head of the District.

During the visit, Marat Zyabbarov participated in a meeting of the Novosheshminsky Municipal District Council of the Republic of Tatarstan entitled "On the Results of the Socioeconomic Development of the Novosheshminsky Municipal District in 2025 and the Objectives for 2026" and also toured an exhibition of achievements of the Novosheshminsky Municipal District's agro-industrial complex.

The Novosheshminsky District ranked 11th in the socioeconomic development rankings for 2025. The Minister expressed gratitude to the workforces of all enterprises in the district for their contribution to economic development. "Significant contributions to the district's economy are made by Sloboda LLC, Novosheshminsky Dry Skimmed Milk Plant, AgroRazdolye LLC, Sheshma-Agro LLC, and Zakroma LLC," he added.

Marat Zyabbarov also spoke about new support measures for the industry. Starting this year, participants in the SVO are receiving an Agromotivator grant, which reimburses up to 90% of project costs, but no more than 5-7 million rubles, depending on the activity. Grants for peasant farms starting this year range from 5 million to 30 million rubles, depending on the amount of their own investment. Subsidies for peasant farms reimburse up to 20 million rubles for incurred costs.

"There is good progress in repaying outstanding subsidies for purchased equipment; 2.2 billion rubles have been allocated for this purpose in 2025, and another 200 million rubles will be allocated for the purchase of equipment for feed mills." This year, a decision has already been made to allocate over 4 billion rubles to subsidize equipment purchased in 2023, 2024, and 2025. We ask farmers to submit high-quality applications for funds to ensure a successful sowing campaign," the minister added.

According to him, the Republic's Raisa has updated a number of programs to stimulate small-scale farming in rural areas: grants to continuing cooperatives from the republican budget are now up to 50 million rubles; private farms are provided with reimbursement for the purchase of fattening bulls at a rate of 35,000 rubles per head; and payments for the maintenance of breeding sheep at a rate of 1,000 rubles per head will also be made. "We must actively utilize these opportunities to support rural businesses," said Marat Zyabbarov.

At the end of the event, the minister presented state awards for outstanding results and contributions to the development of the Novosheshminsky Municipal District of the Republic of Tatarstan.
