Today, the Ministry held a meeting via videoconference on protecting hunting resources from animal diseases. The meeting was chaired by Roman Nekrasov, Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation. Marat Zyabbarov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan and Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan, also participated in the meeting.

In accordance with the decision of the Republican Headquarters for the Prevention and Spread of Contagious, Including Particularly Dangerous, Animal Diseases in the Republic of Tatarstan, measures are being taken to reduce the wild boar population.

Since 2020, there have been more than 18,000 wild boar in the republic in all types of hunts.

Agreements have also been signed with neighboring regions on interregional cooperation to implement measures to prevent the spread and eradicate African swine fever in the Russian Federation.
