Today, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan held a thematic lecture for employees of the Ministry, its territorial bodies, and subordinate agencies, chaired by First Deputy Minister Lenar Garipov. The event was timed to coincide with International Anti-Corruption Day, celebrated on December 9.

Employees of the Main Veterinary Department of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan also attended.

The event aimed to improve legal literacy, strengthen anti-corruption standards, and prevent corruption offenses.

Special guest speakers included Alexander Darenkov, Chairman of the Presidium of the Regional Public Organization "Union of Public Figures of the Republic of Tatarstan," and Rinat Akchurin, an anti-corruption expert.

In his speech, Alexander Darenkov emphasized the role of civil society institutions as partners of the state in creating an atmosphere of intolerance to corruption and emphasized the importance of openness and transparency in government agencies, including the agro-industrial sector, for building public trust.

Anticorruption expert Rinat Akchurin's presentation focused on the practical aspects of anti-corruption compliance in the daily work of civil servants. He examined typical corruption risks in detail and provided specific recommendations for mitigating them. Particular attention was paid to conflicts of interest, liability for failure to take measures to resolve conflicts of interest, and compliance with prohibitions and restrictions.

Holding such a lecture demonstrates the Ministry's systematic approach to combating corruption.
