The harvest in the Republic of Tatarstan is nearing completion. 77,000 hectares of land remain to be harvested, including 59,000 hectares of sunflower. This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan and Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Zyabbarov at a meeting in the Government House of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The meeting was chaired by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov. Tatarstan Prime Minister Alexey Pesoshin and Chairman of the State Council Farid Mukhametshin participated in the meeting.
The head of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tatarstan reported that 475,000 tons of sunflower oilseeds have been threshed, with an average yield of 20 centners per hectare. In addition to sunflowers, corn for grain remains to be harvested – 18,400 hectares, or 33% of the planned harvest. To date, 262,000 tons have been harvested, with an average yield of 69 centners per hectare.
The sugar beet harvest has been completed in the region. 2.6 million tons of root crops have been harvested, with a yield of 486 centners per hectare. 1,134,000 tons of raw materials have been transported to sugar factories, 1,123,000 tons have been processed, and 158,000 tons of sugar have been produced. Another 1,480,000 tons of tubers remain to be transported.
The minister briefly reported on the grain market price situation. Following a bumper harvest and gross grain harvest this year, the grain market is showing a stable position, with a moderate downward trend for certain crops.
