The "Salt of the Earth 2025" competition for agricultural managers is accepting applications from Tatarstan.

11 November 2025, Tuesday

Managers of agricultural companies are choosing the best representatives in 13 categories for the country's leading industry ranking, "Salt of the Earth." Applications are accepted until November 17.

The goal of the "Salt of the Earth" ranking is to provide public and professional recognition to managers who create effective agricultural enterprises, implement modern technologies, advance science and education, develop rural areas, and promote the prestige and image of the agricultural sector.

Applications for participation in the project are accepted until November 17 inclusive on the website of the Russian Managers Association: https://salt.amr.ru/. The results will be published in Kommersant on December 23, 2025.

"The 'Salt of the Earth' ranking of agricultural industry leaders is a good tradition, celebrating not only the achievements of agriculture but also, most importantly, the people who work for the benefit of our strategic industry and the country before the New Year. Behind every new agricultural record, every kilogram of meat and liter of milk produced, are teams of managers and leaders. Last year, 500 professionals participated in the ranking, including business executives, agronomists, financiers, and marketers. This year, we will continue to recognize the best of the best in 13 categories, and we will also add a new one – chief winemaker. After all, viticulture and winemaking have rightfully become the hallmark of our agricultural sector," said Boris Listov, Chairman of the Board of Rosselkhozbank.

The list compilation mechanism is based on the principle of "the best choose the best": participants in the ratings themselves vote for each other in their own categories, evaluating the professional achievements of their colleagues in specific professional areas.

"Highly qualified managers are the drivers of development in Russia's agro-industrial complex. Their competencies determine the future of the industry. Participation in the 'Salt of the Earth' rating is not just a competition, but an objective assessment of the real achievements and prospects of those who are already changing the face of the domestic agro-industrial complex," noted Alexey Fatykhov, General Director of the Tatarstan enterprise Azbuka Syra LLC, which was named one of the top managers in the agro-industrial complex in 2024.

In 2025, competitors will compete in nine main and four special categories. This year, a new category was added: chief winemaker.
