Autumn agricultural fairs continue in the republic. Last weekend, Tatarstan residents again visited marketplaces located in Kazan, Naberezhnye Chelny, Zelenodolsk, Nizhnekamsk, and Kamskiye Polyany.
The republic's districts, agricultural holdings, and local farmers presented their products at the fairgrounds.
Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan and Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov inspected the fairgrounds in Kazan last Saturday. He walked the stalls and interacted with buyers and sellers.
The fairs have large social significance and are one of the most popular formats for distributing agricultural products produced by local producers. They connect producers and consumers, promote agricultural development, and improve the region's food security, all in line with the goals and objectives of the national project "Efficient and Competitive Economy."
Residents can enjoy a wide range of products at affordable prices, including poultry, eggs, beef, pork, potatoes, vegetables, milk and dairy products, sugar, sunflower oil, flour, and confectionery.
Over the course of nine weeks of the fairs, agricultural products worth a total of 884.9 million rubles were imported, including 5,704.5 tons of vegetables: 3,562.3 tons of potatoes; 180.9 tons of bulk milk; 577.8 tons of sugar; 1,209.3 thousand chicken eggs; and 646.6 tons of meat (including 381.5 tons of beef).
9,482 vehicles were used to conduct the fairs.
