The International Congress of Youth Initiatives "Rural Energy" and the All-Russian Rural Youth Forum "Rural Power" took place in Tatarstan over several days. Participants enjoyed discussion platforms, thematic sessions, and the exchange of practical experiences and successful cases from various regions and countries. Special attention was given to visiting sessions: one in the Mamadysh District on rural entrepreneurship, one in the Yelabuga District on rural tourism, and one in the Sabinsky District, where youth policy issues in rural areas were discussed.
Today, at the conclusion of the Congress, participants summarized their work at a plenary session held at the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The event was attended by Ildar Gilmutdinov, Deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation; Kamil Gilmanov, Deputy of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan; Milyausha Zagidullina, Chair of the regional public organization "Agrarian Youth Association of the Republic of Tatarstan"; as well as participants from regions of the Russian Federation, municipal districts of the Republic of Tatarstan, and delegations from Turkey, Belarus, and China.
The event was organized by the regional public organization "Agrarian Youth Association of the Republic of Tatarstan" in conjunction with the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Ministry of Youth Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan, with the support of the Raisa of the Republic of Tatarstan.
At the plenary session, Ildar Gilmutdinov noted the importance of preserving our people in the countryside, including preserving our traditions, culture, language, and all the diversity that exists in our country.
"The President of the country has repeatedly stated that our diversity of cultures, traditions, and languages is our wealth, and we must protect it. This is what sets us apart from others. This is what makes us a unique country. But how does all this manifest itself in the countryside? Of course, a city changes people, including young people; it urbanizes everything, eroding some traditions. But the countryside, after all, preserves all of this," he said.
Kamil Gilmanov emphasized that Tatarstan is not just a hub for ideas and cultures; it is a land of opportunity. Advanced agricultural technologies are being developed here, conditions for youth entrepreneurship are being created, and facilities for youth and sports are being established. The republic is particularly proud of the regional project "Rural Youth," which has no analogues in any other region of the country.
According to him, thanks to this project, young people in rural areas have the opportunity to gain new knowledge, implement local social projects, develop entrepreneurship and rural tourism, cherish their small homelands, and develop the agro-industrial complex. "We believe that rural youth are the future not only of our regions, but of the entire country," he added.
