The First All-Russian Agricultural Dictation Kicks Off in Tatarstan

8 October 2025, Wednesday

The First All-Russian Agricultural Dictation kicked off in the Republic of Tatarstan today, marking Agricultural and Processing Industry Workers' Day. Over 150 people participated in it at the main regional venue, the Palace of Farmers.

The event is organized by the United Russia party with the support of Rosselkhozbank, the Ministry of Agriculture, and other agencies.

From October 8 to 12, at 166 locations across the republic and online, schoolchildren, students, government and public figures, teachers, as well as managers and employees of agricultural enterprises, will join the project aimed at promoting the agricultural sector.

Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marsel Makhmutov noted that today marks the launch of a unique initiative aimed at raising interest in the agricultural sector, testing knowledge, and uniting all those passionate about agriculture.

According to him, the First All-Russian Agro-Dictation will be another step toward strengthening our republic's position and enhancing the prestige of agricultural professions.

Deputy Chair of the State Council Committee on Social Policy Olga Voronova explained that the First All-Russian Agro-Dictation is being held as part of the party's "Russian Village" project. It is aimed at developing rural areas, making rural life attractive and promoting increased agricultural production to ensure food security and enhance Tatarstan's export potential.

"Many points of the 'Russian Village' project have been included in the United Russia party's popular program, because comfortable living conditions shouldn't just be limited to large cities; they should reach every village, every town. With the support of Tatarstan's Raisa Rustam Minnikhanov, many programs aimed at rural development are being implemented. United Russia is closely involved in this issue; as part of the popular program, new schools, parks, and public gardens are being built, and agricultural development is being promoted. Our region is an agricultural region, ranking first in many areas, and fully providing our population with food—this is the most important aspect. But supporting rural areas is also very important today because our young people are leaving. The goal of United Russia, and the goal of all government bodies, is to ensure that young people return to the villages after completing their studies, where they are needed today," the deputy noted.

Kamil Gilmanov, a State Council Deputy of the Republic of Tatarstan and a member of the United Russia faction, told participants how approaches to working in the industry have changed. “Digital technologies and artificial intelligence are currently being actively introduced into the agro-industrial complex; the industry is becoming computerized, and modern technology requires expertise. At the same time, the need for personnel, especially young people, is acute. Therefore, we must work with young people, especially in rural areas. Today, they have excellent working conditions and good salaries. There is significant federal support for the industry, and many republican programs are being implemented,” he said.

The event aims to increase agricultural literacy among the population and inspire young people to work in the agricultural sector.

Participants will answer 30 questions on the following topics: crop production and plant protection, livestock breeding and breeding, fisheries, digitalization, and agricultural exports. Topics will also include organic farming, agritourism, ensuring food security in Russia, and the history and professions of the agro-industrial complex.

The agricultural dictation aims to develop an image of agriculture as a modern, technologically advanced, and attractive field for study, work, and investment in support of the national project "Technological Support for Food Security."
