Today, the final zonal seminar-meeting on livestock farming and silage procurement was held in the Alekseyevsky Municipal District of the Republic of Tatarstan. Participants included Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan – Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov, Deputy Ministers Gelyus Bayazitov and Rafael Fattakhov, Head of the Executive Committee of the Alekseyevsky Municipal District of the Republic of Tatarstan Oleg Ledentsov, as well as heads and specialists from agricultural and food departments in the republic's municipal districts, veterinary services, and employees of agro-industrial enterprises.

During the practical part of the meeting, participants viewed an exhibition of agricultural equipment, feed, additives, and veterinary drugs, and participated in a demonstration of corn silage preparation, post-harvest field treatment, and a demonstration of processing techniques. They also toured the feed center under construction at the Rodina collective farm and the Agrolider grain drying complex.

During the theoretical part of the seminar-meeting, Marat Zyabbarov emphasized that producing high-quality feed requires adherence to technology and modern, well-maintained equipment. "The higher the quality of the feed, the higher the productivity of cows and the lower the cost of purchased high-energy feed," he said.

According to him, 461,000 tons of hay, 3,047,000 tons of haylage, and 2,139,000 tons have been harvested to date, which equates to 32 centners of feed units per head of cattle. He noted the districts where more than 65% of the area has been harvested: Laishevsky, Bavlinsky, Aleeksevsky, Nizhnekamsky, and Menzelinsky municipal districts.

Gelus Bayazitov noted that the construction of feed centers in the republic is a priority. Currently, 56 feed centers are operating in 24 municipal districts, serving over 210,000 head of cattle. "For these purposes, government support is provided to reimburse 50% of the equipment purchase costs and 30% of the building construction costs. Subsidy applications opened on September 30, and applications must be submitted in a timely manner," he added.

Particular attention was also paid to key aspects of corn quality and safety, the technology for placing wet grain in silo trenches using compaction without the use of preservatives, and digital solutions for livestock farming based on artificial intelligence.
