Agricultural fairs resumed in Tatarstan on September 13. Fourteen sites were organized for them in Kazan, two each in Naberezhnye Chelny, Zelenodolsk, and Nizhnekamsk, and one in the village of Kamskiye Polyany in the Nizhnekamsk District.
The first fair was held at the Salavat Kupere-2 market, located at 15 A. Avzalova Street, Kazan. Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan and Minister of Agriculture Marat Zyabbarov visited the fairgrounds along with local residents. He also inspected the fairgrounds in Yudino and Osinovo.
As Marat Zyabbarov noted, the Ministry has monitored market prices for products and set recommended prices based on these data.
"On average, prices for goods at agricultural fairs will be 5-30% cheaper than market prices," noted Marat Zyabbarov.
For example, the average price of bone-in beef in stores is 700 rubles, and at markets, 625 rubles. At fairs, bone-in beef will cost 550 rubles. The average price of butter on store shelves is 896 rubles, at markets, 811.8 rubles, and at fairs, the price will be 750 rubles. The average price of poultry in stores is 182.4 rubles, at markets, 250 rubles, and at fairs, 175 rubles. Currently, the average price of flour in stores is 45 rubles, and at city markets, 44.7 rubles; at fairs, flour will be sold for 27.5 rubles. The recommended price for potatoes, carrots, and beets is 25 rubles.
The fairs are aimed at supporting the sale of farm products and organizing their distribution. Direct-to-consumer sales allow producers to operate without intermediaries and provide the population of the Republic of Tatarstan with high-quality products in sufficient quantities. The fairs are of social significance and are one of the most popular formats for distributing the republic's agricultural products in support of the national project "Efficient and Competitive Economy."
To combat resellers, representatives from the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan are assigned to each fair site. In addition, specialists will monitor recommended prices for the products on display, and specialists from the Veterinary Service and Rosselkhoznadzor will monitor the quality of the products.
The fairs will run until December 28.
