Today, a working meeting with a delegation from the Republic of Karakalpakstan was held at the Ministry, chaired by Rustem Gainullov, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The Karakalpak delegation was led by Temirbek Tanirbergenov, Deputy Minister of Investment, Industry, and Trade of the Republic of Karakalpakstan. It also included Farid Abdimazhitov, Deputy Khokim of the Kungrad District of the Republic of Karakalpakstan; Hamza Khaitimbetov, Deputy Khokim of the Amu Darya District of the Republic of Karakalpakstan; and Aziz Aitbayev, Director of the Aziz Barmen company.
Rustem Gainullov presented the capabilities of Tatarstan's agro-industrial complex and discussed the republic's export potential. He noted that the Republic of Tatarstan ranks first in the Volga Federal District and is among the top three regions of the Russian Federation in terms of agricultural production volumes.
"The country's sufficiency in meat and grain is over 100%, milk over 160%, sugar over 260%, and vegetable oil over 7 times higher," he emphasized.
During the meeting, participants discussed the possibility of establishing a fruit and vegetable processing plant and dairy complexes in the Republic of Karakalpakstan.
