Rustam Minnikhanov, the Head of the Tatarstan Regional Council, visited the Menzelinsky District on a working visit. He was accompanied by Marat Zyabbarov, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan, and Aidar Salakhov, head of the district.
During his visit, the Head of the Republic visited the Kamsky Bacon dairy complex. The company cultivates 16,400 hectares of arable land in the Menzelinsky District. The main area is used forage to provide the livestock with high-tech feed. As of the end of August, 73,200 tons of feed had been harvested.
The farm has 17,200 head of cattle, including 8,200 cows. The daily milk yield is 236 tons. Since the beginning of the year, 47,800 tons of milk have been produced. The plan for 2025-2026 is to increase the dairy cow population to 9,500.
In 2024, Kamsky Bacon built 11 calf barns for 6,400 heads, and there are six barns for 3,000 dairy cows being constructed. Nine silage and haylage trenches, each with a capacity of 17,500 tons, have been constructed.
A meeting with farmers and heads of rural communities was held at the complex. To date, 27,600 hectares of land have been harvested in the district, or 71%. Combine harvesters have threshed 125,000 tons of grain from the new crop. The yield is 45 centners per hectare. Sugar beet harvesting is planned to begin soon, with 3,700 hectares to be harvested.
The district is seeing an increase in herd size. Currently, there are 24,600 head of cattle (a 6% increase), of which 11,300 are dairy cows (a 13% increase). From January to July, 66,000 tons of milk were produced—with a 15% increase.
The district's farms operate 280 tractors, 77 grain harvesters, 19 forage harvesters, and 80 trucks. Systematic efforts are underway to upgrade the fleet: 36 units of agricultural machinery have been purchased since the beginning of 2025.
Rustam Minnikhanov praised the achievements of the Menzelinsky District and added that the republic will continue to implement all projects and programs.
