From October 16 to 18, 2025, the National Union of Hospitality Industry together with JSC Rosselkhozbank are planning to hold the next cycle of events of the "Agritourism School" project in the Republic of Tatarstan.
The event will be attended by leading enterprises and organizations of rural and agricultural tourism, agricultural producers, representatives of the tourism industry from the regions of the Volga Federal District.
The teachers of the "Agritourism School" are leading experts in the country's tourism industry, representatives of federal government bodies and leading industry associations of the tourism industry, leading enterprises of rural and agricultural tourism.
Agritourism is an effective tool for the development of rural areas, allowing to integrate the agricultural and recreational potential of the area in support of the national project "Tourism and Hospitality". The development of rural and agrarian tourism allows farmers and agricultural producers to receive additional profits and promote agricultural products on the market.
As part of the program, students will learn about the types and forms of rural and agrarian tourism, the legal aspects of agritourism, government support measures applicable to agritourism, regional features of agritourism development, points of profitability growth, and how service and quality of services affect business profitability.
In 2024-2025, more than 1,000 representatives of farms, agricultural producers, and agritourism facilities from the Central, North Caucasian, and Southern Federal Districts have already been trained at the "School of Agrotourism." Thanks to the project, they studied the best practices for the development of rural and agrarian tourism in Russia, met with leading agritourism enterprises, and found business partners from the tourism industry.
The School of Agrotourism has become a major educational and communication platform, uniting the efforts of the state, business, science and society on the path to sustainable rural tourism.
