Today, the Ministry hosted a working meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania to the Russian Federation Sidati Cheikh Ould Ahmed Aicha, chaired by the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustem Gainullov.
The meeting was also attended by the Commercial Director of RACIN JSC Aidar Zaripov, Director of Skopa LLC Radim Valiev, Deputy Head of the Livestock Development Department Ramil Khakimov, and Leading Advisor of the Food Market Development Department Salavat Sakhabutdinov.
The Deputy Minister emphasized that the republic's agriculture fully provides the population with basic types of products and ranks 1st among the regions of Russia in milk production; 2nd in potato production; 8th in the production of livestock and poultry for slaughter; 7th place - in egg production; 10th place - in grain production.
According to Rustem Gainullov, Tatarstan has great export potential in the agro-industrial complex, including products according to Halal standards - dairy, meat and confectionery products.
The participants discussed the current state and prospects for the development of relations between Tatarstan and Mauritania, noting the need to strengthen trade and economic ties.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the possibility of exporting wheat, dry milk, and vegetable oil to the Islamic Republic of Mauritania from the Republic of Tatarstan.
