Rustam Minnikhanov visited Laishevsky District

Today, Rais of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov visited Laishevsky District on a working visit. He was accompanied by First Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Lenar Garipov.

As part of the visit, Rais of the Republic and Lenar Garipov inspected the Narmonka agrofirm, where they got acquainted with the implementation of an investment project for growing vegetables. The project involves increasing the area of ​​irrigated land to 1,700 hectares. It is planned to annually grow potatoes and open-ground vegetables in the amount of at least 60 thousand tons, as well as simultaneously store 55 thousand tons of products. This will create 26 new jobs.

Rustam Minnikhanov was informed that the investment project is being implemented in several stages. Today, the area of ​​irrigated land has been increased from 270 to 1 thousand hectares. Dozens of units of equipment have been purchased, including sprinkler machines. A potato and vegetable receiving and shipping shop, a weigh station, and a potato storage facility for 4,000 tons of produce have also been put into operation. This year, the agrofirm plans to receive at least 20,000 tons of open-ground potatoes and vegetables. Work on the project is ongoing.

A meeting of the Rais of Tatarstan with farmers and heads of rural settlements of the Laishevsky district was also held here. The head of the district, Ildus Zaripov, reported that today the harvesting campaign has reached the equator. 35.5 thousand tons of grain have been collected. The yield is 37 c/ha. Rapeseed harvesting is also underway - work has been completed on 67% of the area. Farmers are starting to sow winter crops.

There are 4.1 thousand heads of cattle in the district, including 1.5 thousand dairy cows. Rustam Minnikhanov drew attention to the need for more active development of private farms. "We should work with the population, develop cooperatives, build a feed center to provide feed. We need to think through these issues. Private farms need to be supported. You have great potential for developing agriculture, there is a huge market nearby - Kazan," Rais RT emphasized. Rustam Minnikhanov also thanked the residents of the Laishevsky district for providing humanitarian aid and sending the necessary goods to the SVO zone. He also especially noted the importance of supporting military personnel and their families.
