The Ministry summed up the results of livestock production for 7 months

Today, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan held a meeting on the results of livestock production for 7 months of the current year, chaired by Deputy Minister Gelyus Bayazitov. It was attended by livestock consultants, heads of selection and breeding services of the departments of agriculture and food in municipal districts and other responsible persons.

The head of the department for the development of livestock industries, Siren Nigmatzyanov, reported that over 7 months, more than 1 million 92 thousand tons of milk were produced in agricultural formations of the republic, with a 5% increase compared to 2024. The average milk yield per cow was 5 thousand 173 kg of milk, and there is a 7% increase compared to last year. 245 thousand tons of meat were produced, 102% compared to last year. Positive dynamics in the production of cattle and pig meat. Plus 2 and 6%, respectively. Poultry meat production is at the level of last year.

Positive dynamics is observed in the number of pigs, sheep and goats. Compared to last year, the number of pigs increased by 21 thousand heads, sheep and goats by 3 thousand heads or by 5 and 6%, respectively.

18 municipal districts have increased the number of cows to the level of 2024. The number of cows continues to increase in Atninsky, Mamadyshsky, Kaibitsky, Alkeyevsky, Zelenodolsky and Sabinsky districts.

The number of pigs in the republic is mainly concentrated in 6 large pig-breeding complexes. As of August 1 of this year, they contain more than 477 thousand heads of pigs, with a plus of 21 thousand to the level of 24 years. The largest growth is in Kamsky Bekon, Avangard and Phoenix.

Next, Siren Nigmatzyanov focused on milk production. The highest growth to the plan and to 2023 was produced in the Atninsky, Mamadyshsky, Kukmorsky, Zelenodolsky and Kaibitsky districts. There are also high growth rates in the Menzelinsky and Baltasinsky districts.

Then the head of the department of breeding and reproduction of animals Damir Minnebaev made a report. In his report, he gave examples of the Kukmorsky (12,767 goals), Baltasinsky (12,585 goals), Atninsky (10,121 goals) districts, which are confidently among the top three leaders in obtaining calves and milk production. The farms of the districts successfully solve the issues of herd reproduction, purposefully prepare heifer livestock, and conduct selection and breeding work.

The Menzelinsky, Kaibitsky, Leninogorsk, and Agryz districts also received more calves. The increase in calving was mainly due to the growth of heifers and our own reproduction.

“Based on the results of 7 months of work, 152,234 thousand calves were obtained, which is 99% of the level of last year. 604,488 thousand piglets were obtained, which is 105% of the level of last year. Foals 2.7 thousand heads, 107% of last year,” he noted.

Damir Minnebaev also reported on the situation with reproduction in private subsidiary farms. As of August 1, 2025, 53.8 thousand cows were inseminated. The coverage of artificial insemination was 61%, which is 4% more than last year.

During the meeting, they also discussed issues of registering objects with the state that have a negative impact on the environment

At the end of the meeting, Gelyus Bayazitov noted the need to take special control over the implementation of roadmap indicators for livestock industries for 2025 and the completion of reports on the production of milk, eggs, poultry, pigs and cattle.
