A seminar on growing black currants was held in the village of Bolshie Yaki, Zelenodolsk district, at the Yagodnaya Dolina farm. Representatives of farms from the republics of Tatarstan, Bashkortostan, Chuvashia, Mari El, and the Moscow region took part in the seminar.
The head of the peasant (farming) enterprise Ildar Sitdikov shared his practical experience of growing currants in the conditions of the Republic of Tatarstan. The agronomist of the enterprise Konstantin Korovin introduced the technology of growing currants, the approach to the land, and methods of protection against pests and diseases.
According to Ildar Sitdikov, growing black currants is a promising area of agriculture that can bring a stable income with the right approach. He emphasized the importance of using modern technologies and varieties that are resistant to diseases and pests.
Konstantin Korovin added that success in growing currants depends on many factors, including soil quality, irrigation system and plant protection. He shared the secrets of effective pest control and spoke about the need to select the right varieties.
Director of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Department of Land Reclamation and Agricultural Water Supply in the Republic of Tatarstan" Mars Khismatullin introduced melioration development programs, including for the development of the fruit and berry industry.
Mars Khismatullin emphasized that the state is ready to provide support to farmers engaged in growing berries. He spoke about melioration development programs and the possibility of receiving subsidies for the purchase of machinery and equipment.
Zufar Gayazov, President of the Association of Restaurateurs and Hoteliers of Tatarstan, said that today there is a great demand for high-quality berries and Tatarstan berries meet all the requirements. Today, he noted, it is necessary to work not only for local sales, but also with the prospect of long-term storage.
At the end of the seminar, the participants looked at currant plantations, the equipment used, and popular varieties of currants.
The participants of the seminar noted the high level of organization of the event and the practical value of the information received. Many expressed interest in applying the experience of "Berry Valley" in their farms.
Holding events in the field of agro-industrial complex allows farmers to gain new knowledge and skills for the subsequent development of fruit and berry crops, and also contributes to the production and increase of products from new varieties of berries, which corresponds to the goals and objectives of the national project "Technological support of food security".
