The Ministry held the Day of Poultry Farmers of the Republic of Tatarstan
The Ministry held an extended meeting of the Presidium of the Council of Veterans of the Agro-Industrial Complex of the Republic of Tatarstan together with the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan on the topic: "Day of Poultry Farmers of the Republic of Tatarstan".
The event was attended by Deputy Minister Rustem Gainullov, Chairman of the Council of Veterans of the Agro-Industrial Complex of the Republic of Tatarstan Mars Aliyev, veterans of the agro-industrial complex, and heads of poultry enterprises.
There are 19.6 million heads of birds in the republic in all categories of farms. According to the results of 2024, the Republic of Tatarstan ranks 6th in egg production, having 3.5% of the volume of the Russian Federation.
Tatarstan is fully self-sufficient in livestock products. Per capita, eggs are produced 32% higher than the standard for consumption. In the first half of the current year, 830 million eggs were produced in all categories of farms.
Poultry production is mainly represented by large agricultural holdings JSC Agrosila - Chelny Broiler LLC and Ak Bars Holding - Ak Bars Poultry Complex LLC. The Ak Bars poultry complex - Yaratel poultry farm accounts for 55.5% of egg production, and the Derzhavinskaya poultry farm accounts for 10.7%.
The meeting also included an award ceremony for the best workers in the agro-industrial complex who contributed to the development of the poultry industry.
