Today, zonal seminar-meetings on a set of measures to form agricultural crop yields have started at the Kiyatskoye OJSC of the Buinsky municipal district of the Republic of Tatarstan. The event was attended by Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Dmitry Yashin, as well as representatives of the agricultural and food departments in the municipal districts of the republic, specialists from the branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution Rosselkhoztsentr in the Republic of Tatarstan, heads of agricultural formations and peasant farms, agronomists and engineers.
In the Republic of Tatarstan, the harvesting area of grain and leguminous crops is 1 million 276 thousand hectares, including spring grain and leguminous crops - 816 thousand hectares; industrial crops - 643 thousand hectares; forage crops - 620 thousand hectares.
Dmitry Yashin focused on the weather conditions of the growing season, liming of acidic soils, field certification in the EFGIS ZSN system, as well as the amount of precipitation during the harvesting period.
The Deputy Minister noted the timing of sowing winter crops: from August 10 to September 1 - sowing winter rye, August 20 - September 5 - sowing winter wheat, from August 25 to September 5 - winter triticale, from August 5 to August 15 - sowing winter rape.
He attributed the advantages of winter crops to early vegetation in a period favorable in terms of moisture supply, early harvesting and stretching the load on the combine fleet, higher quality of produced grain, an optimal predecessor for spring crops, and also insurance crops can be used for feed.
Yuriy Erov, General Director of the Elite Seeds of Tatarstan Association, spoke about the management of genetic resources in crop production and their localization by natural and climatic zones.
Vitaly Novichkov, Head of the Branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution Rosselkhoztsentr in the Republic of Tatarstan, spoke about the work of the FGIS Seed Production system and the current situation in the fields. The system is aimed at creating conditions for the development of an effective seed market in the Russian Federation, informing domestic producers and consumers of seeds, improving the quality of seeds produced in Russia, and improving the regulatory framework for seed production.
To form a crop yield, it is necessary to carry out primary soil cultivation on an area of about 2 million hectares. The necessary set of equipment is available for this. In order to accumulate productive moisture in the off-season, it is advisable to cultivate about 50% of the area with deepening of the arable layer.
Special attention was also paid to the issues of saturating the forage wedge with new crops, the technology of growing winter rapeseed in the conditions of the Republic of Tatarstan, organizing the nutrition of winter crops and restoring soil fertility, liming soils, current melioration programs, as well as technological methods of managing soil moisture supply to increase the yield of row crops and grain crops in the conditions of the dry season.
