Today, a working meeting with a delegation from the Sultanate of Oman was held at the Ministry. It was attended by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov, Assistant to the Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan Gazinur Bakirov, Assistant to the Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan - Deputy Chairman of the Strategic Vision Group "Russia - Islamic World" Marat Gatin.
The delegation from the Sultanate of Oman included Assistant to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman Asaad Al Husseini, as well as Ahmed Al Rahbi and Khalid Al Rahbi.
Marat Zyabbarov spoke about Tatarstan as an advanced economic region of Russia. The Republic is one of the leading domestic players in the field of oil production, oil refining and petrochemistry. "We are actively developing mechanical engineering and agriculture, and scientific and educational centers are being created and are functioning," he noted.
The Minister also presented the capabilities of the agro-industrial complex of Tatarstan and spoke about the export potential of the republic. He noted that in terms of agricultural production, the Republic of Tatarstan is in first place in the Volga Federal District and in the top three regions of the Russian Federation.
The guests are interested in the experience of the Republic of Tatarstan in developing horse breeding and equestrian sports, as well as the equestrian complex "Kazan" - the largest in Russia and one of the largest in Europe with an area of 91.1 hectares.
During the meeting, they discussed the possibility of supplying fertilizers and small cattle from the Republic of Tatarstan in support of the national project "Export".
