Today, as part of the international agro-industrial exhibition "Agrovolga - 2025", the 2nd International Tournament on Trimming Cattle Hoofs was held. This year, 103 contestants from 19 regions of the Russian Federation and 5 countries, including the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Republic of Turkey, the State of Israel, and the Syrian Arab Republic, competed for the title of the best masters.
The main goal of the tournament is to increase the prestige of skilled labor in the veterinary industry, identify, promote, and widely implement advanced methods of preventive trimming and healing of cows' hooves, disseminate the experience of the best veterinary orthopedists, and assist in attracting young people to study and find employment in this profession.
The panel of judges included representatives of the veterinary academies of Kazan, Moscow, St. Petersburg, and the Far Eastern State Agrarian University. Vasily Rukol from the Republic of Belarus was invited as an independent expert. The judges also included veterinarians from specialized organizations providing professional services: AgriPo (Republic of Belarus), Timofeev Yuri Alexandrovich's peasant farm (Chuvash Republic), and Pakhomov N.N. (Kabardino-Balkarian Republic).
45 experienced specialists competed in the "Best Specialist" nomination, among them Viktor Kolchikov from the Republic of Khakassia won. Second place went to Sergey Solostov from the Rostov Region, and third to Vladimir Bezrukov from the Sverdlovsk Region.
47 participants, including 13 girls, took part in the "Young Masters" nomination. The best among girls was Tatyana Schneider from the Krasnoyarsk Territory, and Bulat Khisamiev (Republic of Tatarstan) won among boys.
