"Agrovolga - 2025": winners of the "Beauty of Agrovolga" competition named
As part of the International Agro-Industrial Exhibition "Agrovolga - 2025", the "Beauty of Agrovolga" dairy cattle breeding competition was held for the 4th time. Cows from 36 breeding farms competed for the title of the very best.
The exterior assessment of cows is a system for assessing the external characteristics of first-calf heifers and heifers, which allows determining their productive qualities, health and potential for producing large volumes of high-quality milk.
The general appearance and development of the physique, harmony, and expression of breed characteristics are assessed. This allows predicting the productive longevity of animals, their reproductive qualities and resistance to diseases. Experts look at how well the cow is built, how large and proportional it is, whether it is similar to the "ideal cow" of its breed. Pay attention to individual body parts - the udder: it should be of the correct shape, not sagging, legs: should be strong and correctly positioned, back: straight and strong, chest: wide, so that there is room for the heart and lungs. So with cows - by their appearance you can say a lot about how good "workers" they will be on the farm.
An international expert was involved in an objective assessment of the competition participants and determining the winners - a professional appraiser of the National Association of Hungarian Holstein-Friesian Cattle Producers, Mr. Shebek Tamas.
A heifer from Orsis-Agro LLC in the Nizhnekamsk District and a cow from Mir LLC in the Yelabuga District of the Republic of Tatarstan were recognized as the Grand Champion.
A heifer from the Kushar Agricultural Production Cooperative in the Atninsky District and a cow from August-Muslyum LLC in the Muslyumovsky District of the Republic of Tatarstan became the Champions.
The title of Vice-Champion was earned by a cow from LLC “Vakhitovo” in the Kukmorsky district of the Republic of Tatarstan and a heifer from LLC “SHP named after Saidashev” in the Tukaevsky district.
In addition, the best animals were determined in several categories:
The best depth of the body - agricultural production complex "Agrofirm Rassvet" (Kukmorsky district);
The best width of the sacrum - LLC Agricultural Enterprise "Tatarstan" (Baltasinsky district);
The best back line is the agricultural production complex "Menger" (Atninsky district);
The best placement of the limbs, side view - Vahitovo LLC (Kukmorsky district);
The most voluminous animal is Severnaya Niva Tatarstan LLC, residential complex Naratly (Bugulminsky district);
The best chest width - Agrofirma LLC named after. Gavrilov" (Kukmorsky district);
Harmonious gait - SHP named after Saidashev LLC (Tukaevsky district)
Expression of the milk type - LLC "Mir" (Elabuga region).
The best handlers were also awarded as part of the competition. Third place was awarded to Uktam Matniezov from Mir LLC in the Elabuga region, and Zukhra Galimzyanova from Plemennoe Delo LLC in Kazan took second place. The winner among the handlers was Ilnaz Gumerov from Agrofirma Rassvet LLC, Kukmorsky district.
