Today, a ceremonial event was held dedicated to the International Day of Cooperatives, the 194th anniversary of consumer cooperation in Russia and the 109th anniversary of the formation of Tatpotrebsoyuz. It was attended by Deputy Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Akhmetov, Deputy of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Anatoly Ivanov, Deputy Chairman of the Council of the Central Union of the Russian Federation Vitaly Brodsky, First Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Lenar Garipov.
This year, on the initiative of the United Nations, has also been declared the International Year of Cooperatives, which recognizes the important role of cooperatives in sustainable development. The theme of the year is "Cooperatives are building a better world." It emphasizes the sustainable influence of cooperatives and their contribution to solving modern global problems.
Lenar Garipov noted that the work of the workers of the consumer cooperative aimed at supporting rural residents, providing them with essential goods, and developing the system of procurement of products is invaluable. "You are a reliable partner for private farms, you contribute to the development of small businesses in the countryside, and you make a significant contribution to the food security of the republic. Thanks to your work, even the most remote corners of the republic are not left without attention," he emphasized.
According to Lenar Garipov, it is noticeable how the volume of services provided to the rural population is growing year after year, which currently exceeds 24.5 billion rubles. This is the result of dedicated work and the significant support provided by the republic, thanks to which Tatpotrebsoyuz maintains the status of the leading consumer organization in Russia.
In the Republic of Tatarstan, an entire program for the development of consumer cooperation is being implemented, which formulates the main directions, goals and objectives for the development of all sectors of activity. The implementation of its activities ensures an increase in the role of consumer cooperative organizations in solving socio-economic problems, issues of self-sufficiency of the republic in the field of food supply in support of the national project "Technological support of food security".
