On July 9, 2025, as part of the international agro-industrial exhibition "AGROVOLGA 2025", a gala awards ceremony for the winners of the regional stage of the All-Russian competition "Women in the Agro-Industrial Complex" will be held in Kazan. The event, organized with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia, is designed to recognize the outstanding achievements of women who have made a significant contribution to the development of the agro-industrial complex and rural areas of the country.
According to the First Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Elena Fastova, today women play a vital role in the development of the industry. About 19 million women live in rural areas, and many of them work in the agro-industrial complex. They are increasingly becoming heads of enterprises, occupying an important place in the production and trade of agricultural products, directly influencing food security and the development of rural areas, managing not only to take care of their families and children, but also important social projects.
During the ceremony, 12 winners in four competitive nominations and one special nomination will receive awards. Among them there are heads of agricultural enterprises and farms, authors of socially significant initiatives, as well as women implementing innovative solutions in the agro-industrial sector.
The Republic of Tatarstan was chosen by the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia as a pilot region for the regional stage of the competition. This indicates a high level of development of the agro-industrial complex in the region and the important role of women in this industry. The "Women in the Agro-Industrial Complex" competition will become a unique platform for exchanging experiences, supporting women's initiatives and popularizing the rural lifestyle.
In order to provide the industry with qualified specialists and to form personnel sustainability of the agro-industrial complex, the federal project "Personnel in the Agro-Industrial Complex" of the national project "Technological Support of Food Security" is being implemented in the Republic of Tatarstan.
