The Central Bank of the Russian Federation presented objects in the Volga Federal District for the design of the new 1,000-ruble banknote. Among them there are the Palace of Farmers, the main building of KFU, the Kazan family center.
“Last year, we presented the 1,000-ruble banknote, but its design caused a mixed reaction from society. Therefore, we decided to take a step back and redesign the back side,” said Elvira Nabiullina, head of the Central Bank.
Today, the Palace of Farmers building houses the offices of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Veterinary Department, and other government agencies.
Thanks to its extraordinary exterior, the building is unique throughout Russia. The architectural style borrows elements of Empire and classicism, so the building can be classified as eclectic. The building consists of two symmetrical blocks and a dome. In the center of the composition is the highlight of the structure - a bronze tree located inside the arch. The height of the tree is 20 meters. The tree symbolizes the fertility and prosperity of the Kazan lands.
Another important detail is the central dome. The dome itself is of classical shape, but the spiral lattice on its surface echoes the architectural traditions of Eastern cultures.
