Rustem Gainullov: "The development of Russian-Chinese relations has reached a new level"

Today, as part of the International Forum "Rostki: Russia and China - Mutually Beneficial Cooperation", a round table was held on the topic: "Partnership in Agriculture: Russian-Chinese Prospects". Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustem Gainullov took part in it.

He presented the capabilities of the agro-industrial complex of the Republic of Tatarstan. "Almost 200 thousand people work in the agro-industrial complex of the republic. Today, we not only provide the population with all the basic food products, but also have the opportunity to export them," the Deputy Minister said.

Rustem Gainullov emphasized that the development of Russian-Chinese relations has reached a new level. The countries are developing large infrastructure projects, and are also key actors in international relations, jointly building a new world order.

The People's Republic of China is among the top three countries in terms of trade turnover with the Republic of Tatarstan. Over the first 9 months of this year, products worth $32 million were exported.

The number of exporters increases annually and Tatarstan's export potential is growing thanks to the national project "International Cooperation and Export".

Kirill Chechin, Executive Director of Komos Group LLC, spoke about the prospects for developing dairy exports to the People's Republic of China.

Yevgeny Blinkov, Deputy General Director of ANO Eurasian Agrologistics, covered the topic of multimodal and rail transportation of agricultural products and food to the Chinese market.

Karen Ovsepyan, General Director of NOVO Development Center JSC, touched upon the topic of logistics corridors and grain infrastructure.

General Director of the National Poultry Union Sergey Lakhtyukhov spoke about the prospects for the development of meat product exports, in particular, poultry meat to the People's Republic of China. "China accounts for about 37% of all Russian poultry meat exports this year," Sergey Lakhtyukhov noted.
