The Ministry was visited by a delegation from China

Today, the II International Forum "Rostki: Russia and China - Mutually Beneficial Cooperation" began in Kazan. As part of the forum, a meeting was held at the Ministry with representatives of the KMMC Consortium Association of the People's Republic of China on cooperation issues, chaired by Lenar Garipov, First Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan. The event was also attended by Rustem Gainullov, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan, and Salavat Sakhabutdinov, Leading Advisor of the Food Market Development Department.

The Chinese delegation was headed by Song Meishan, General Director of Heilongjiang State Agricultural Investment Company, LLC. The delegation also included general directors and deputies of the Liaocheng Chang'an Freight transport group, and international business managers of Heilongjiang State Agricultural Investment Company, LLC. The consortium delegation was headed by KMMK President Yuri Fedorov and KMMK Vice President Pavel Arefyev.

The First Deputy Minister spoke about the achievements of the agro-industrial complex of the Republic of Tatarstan. "At its level, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan is ready to promote the development of business ties, in particular on issues of agro-industrial complex development: implementation of joint effective investment projects in the industry, development of trade cooperation," said Lenar Garipov.

Then the meeting participants discussed proposals for cooperation. "We are ready to expand cooperation in various areas with our Chinese colleagues: it is important for us to develop our competencies in terms of exchanging experience in the following areas: digitalization of the agro-industrial complex, organic farming, education in professional areas in the agro-industrial complex. The Republic of Tatarstan has the opportunity to export the following agricultural products: meat, dairy, including "Halal", sunflower oil and meal, grain products, granulated sugar, confectionery products," said Rustem Gainullov.

The products of the agro-industrial complex of Tatarstan are exported by 258 participants of foreign economic activity with the geography of deliveries to 52 countries. Every year the number of exporters increases and the export potential of Tatarstan is growing thanks to the national project "International Cooperation and Export".
