Specialists of the branch of the federal state budgetary institution "Federal Center for Assessment of Safety and Quality of Agricultural Products" in the Republic of Tatarstan are completing work on assessing the quality of wheat of the new harvest.
As of November 12, 2024, the branch analyzed more than 2.1 million tons of wheat, which is 98.9% of the volume selected this year by specialists for research as part of the state monitoring of wheat (2.1 million tons).
In total, more than 4 thousand samples were selected from grain batches and tested in the branch laboratory. Based on the test results, applicants were issued 4.1 thousand protocols confirming that the bulk of the grain is food wheat.
The results of the research showed that in the winter and spring wheat harvest, a significant part - more than 418 thousand tons (20% of the surveyed volume) fell to valuable wheat of the 3rd class, with a gluten content of 23% and higher, 818 thousand tons (39%) were identified as wheat of the 4th class, with a gluten content of at least 18% and 852 thousand tons (41%) - class 5.
As Tatyana Menlikieva explained, the wheat of the new harvest of the 3rd and 4th classes meets the export specification for the most important flour-milling indicators. The maximum value of the mass fraction of protein in it is more than 19%, and the nature - reaches 824 g / l.
The volume of grain crops exported to foreign countries to date amounted to 68.2 thousand tons. Of these, 60.6 thousand tons of barley, 3.2 thousand tons of wheat, 3.8 thousand tons of corn.
The export of agricultural products contributes to the implementation of the goals of the national project "International Cooperation and Export".
