A meeting with a delegation from Kazakhstan was held at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tatarstan

Today, a working meeting with a delegation from the Abay region (Kazakhstan) headed by the Akim of the region Nurlan Urankhayev was held at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tatarstan. The Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan was represented by Deputy Minister Rustem Gainullov and Leading Advisor of the Food Market Development Department Salavat Sakhabutdinov.

The meeting participants discussed the current state and prospects for the development of relations between Tatarstan and Kazakhstan, noting the need to strengthen interaction for the further realization of the potential of bilateral cooperation. Mutually beneficial relations strengthen partnership and meet the goals of the national project "International Cooperation and Export".

Kazakhstan is one of the leading foreign partners of Tatarstan. Over the first 9 months of the current year, products worth USD 14.1 million (butter, flour, starch, etc.) were imported from the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Tatarstan, while exports amounted to USD 29.4 million (milk and cream, whey, sunflower oil, jams, ketchup, ice cream, etc.).

Tatarstan has significant export potential in the agro-industrial sector - meat, dairy, grain and confectionery products, as well as sunflower oil and granulated sugar. The largest enterprises exporting agricultural products are JSC Kazan Fat Plant, JSC Essen Production AG, JSC Agrosila, LLC RM AGRO, LLC Kazan Dairy Plant, LLC Azbuka Syra, LLC Vamin Tatarstan; LLC Uva-Moloko and LLC TD Akulchev.
