A zonal seminar-meeting on livestock issues was held in Novosheshminsky District

Today, a zonal seminar-meeting on the topic: "Livestock farming in the Republic of Tatarstan - state and development prospects" was held at the Zakroma LLC premises of the Novosheshminsky Municipal District of the Republic of Tatarstan. The event was attended by the First Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Lenar Garipov, Deputy Minister Gelyus Bayazitov, as well as heads of agricultural departments, heads of investment companies, consultants on livestock and zootechnicians of farms.

"Today, 188 farms in the republic work with digital systems, and there 162 thousand cows are concentrated, which is 76% of the dairy herd of agricultural formations. At the same time, these farms produce 79% of milk, which ensured an increase in milk volumes in the 1st quarter of this year by 69.8 thousand tons. The complex of these measures allowed achieving an average annual productivity of cows in 2023 in agricultural formations of 7,773 kg, and for 9 months of the current year of 6,231 kg,” noted Lenar Garipov.

Since August 2023, agricultural formations in this zone have put into operation 3 investment projects for 510 heads: OOO Khuzangaevskoye of the Alkeyevsky district - a dairy farm for 220 heads; Sparta N.R. of the Laishevsky district - a dairy farm for 140 heads; and Grigoriev A.P. of the Rybno-Slobodsky district - a robotic dairy farm for 150 heads.

During the seminar, Gelyus Bayazitov spoke about subsidies provided for the development of horse breeding: for the purchase of Tatar horses from suppliers of the Republic of Tatarstan, breeding horses of riding and trotting breeds, semen of breeding stallions; for the maintenance of breeding stock, breeding stock of Tatar horses, and stock of mares over 3 years old.

The seminar-meeting also included round tables on the issues of hidden potential for raising young animals, efficient raising of young animals, metabolic disorders in fresh cows and the use of artificial intelligence to improve efficiency in animal husbandry.
