The Republic of Tatarstan increased exports of dairy products by 39.7%

As of the beginning of October 2024, the volume of exports of agricultural products of the Republic of Tatarstan in current prices amounted to 305.4 million US dollars, which is 66.7% of the planned value for 2024. Products of the agricultural complex are exported by 258 participants in foreign economic activity with the geography of deliveries to 52 countries of the world. In 2023, the actual volume of exports of agricultural products of the Republic of Tatarstan in current prices amounted to 457.6 million US dollars.

The Republic of Tatarstan is increasing the supply of dairy products to foreign markets.

The growth points in the export potential of dairy products in terms of milk processing are Vamin Tatarstan LLC, Apastovsky Dairy Plant LLC and Kasymovsky Dairy Plant LLC. The Republic of Tatarstan accounts for 6.5% of the total milk production in the Russian Federation. Last year, 2.19 million tons of milk were produced.

To date, dairy products worth $15.1 million have been exported, up 39.7% year-on-year. In physical terms, the volume of shipped dairy products amounted to 7.6 thousand tons: milk and cream worth $9.7 million; ice cream $3 million; cheeses and cottage cheese $1.5 million; whey $425 thousand.

The republic's dairy products are exported to the Middle East and Transcaucasia, Asia and North African countries. The target countries are China, India, Iran and the Customs Union countries.

Representatives of dairy industry enterprises noted that Russian products are highly valued by foreign partners. Modernization of plants, optimization of the production process, as well as support from the state have become a good incentive for the development of exports and the fulfillment of the set tasks.

The export potential of the Republic of Tatarstan is increasing thanks to the implementation of investment projects, including the national project "International Cooperation and Export".
