Today, a briefing on the results of the 2024 harvesting campaign was held at the Government House. It was attended by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov and Director of the Tatarstan regional branch of JSC Rosselkhozbank Lyalya Kudermetova.

In his report, Marat Zyabbarov reported that farmers of the Republic of Tatarstan have almost completed the harvesting of grain crops, and collected 3 million 662 thousand tons of grain with an average yield of 27.8 c/ha.

“The Republic has almost completed the harvesting of grain crops, it remains to harvest 4 thousand hectares of spring wheat and buckwheat. Corn for grain still needs to be threshed on an area of 38.0 thousand hectares. In addition, we plan to thresh about 200 thousand tons of corn grain. In general, the expected gross grain harvest in bunker weight is over 3.8 million tons,” said Marat Zyabbarov.

According to him, over 170 thousand tons were collected by the Buinsky and Tetyushsky municipal districts of the Republic of Tatarstan, and over 160 thousand tons by the Arsky district. The leaders in grain yields were the Tetyushsky, Kukmorsky, Atninsky and Kaibitsky districts.

Then the Head of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan reported on grain purchase prices. According to data as of September 20, the average purchase price for third-class wheat is 15 thousand rubles per ton, for fourth-class wheat — 13.97 thousand rubles, for fifth-class wheat — 11.55 thousand rubles, for rye — 8.8 thousand rubles, for feed barley — 11.2 thousand rubles, for corn — 16.5 thousand rubles.

To support grain producers, the Russian Government allocates a subsidy to reimburse the costs of its sale. Thus, this year, producers received state support in the amount of 388.5 million rubles, 363.05 thousand tons of sold grain were subsidized.

In addition, additional support was provided to agricultural producers by purchasing grain for the intervention fund; in 2024, 56.77 thousand tons of grain were purchased at prices above the average.

Marat Zyabbarov also focused his attention on import substitution of agricultural machinery. Despite the Western sanctions, agricultural formations of the republic continue to effectively use imported equipment. Dealers have worked out parallel import mechanisms.

"In the agro-industrial complex of the Republic of Tatarstan, more than 10% of tractors, 30% of agricultural machinery and 86% of milking equipment are imported. Currently, all imported equipment is repaired in a timely manner and used effectively," Marat Zyabbarov noted.

At the same time, according to him, in Tatarstan "the course of import substitution continues." In particular, machine-building enterprises have mastered the production and restoration of about 3 thousand types of parts for imported equipment. Prices for parts are on average two times lower than for original ones.

There are several enterprises manufacturing equipment in the republic. "They cover the needs of our agricultural producers in the segments they produce and are able to provide spare parts to villagers in sufficient quantities," Marat Zyabbarov emphasized.

The head of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan also spoke about supporting small businesses in the Republic of Tatarstan. In 2024, 1 billion 232 million rubles are allocated for state support for the development of small businesses.

The director of the Tatarstan regional branch of JSC Rosselkhozbank Lyalya Kudermetova spoke about measures to support farmers. "This year, the bank allocated 15.8 billion rubles for the development of the agro-industrial complex of Tatarstan, which is 10% more than the year before. A significant share of funds - more than 80% or 12.8 billion rubles - was issued on preferential terms as part of the implementation of state programs (103% compared to the same period last year)," noted Lyalya Kudermetova.
